LA TERZA VIA
Tra la scelta di andare a sinistra e quella di andare a destra, rimane sempre una terza possibilità: quella di andare diritti. Questo vale per il camminare vero e proprio ma anche per un modo di pensare, di fare una scelta o, appunto, di non farla.
La vita ci chiede sempre di prendere una strada, di qua o di là.
Così queste tre scarpe, destra, sinistra e centrale o “neutra”, simboleggiano la staticità, il non fare, il non prendere una decisione. E il non fare è peggio di far male.
Quindi, questo trio di calzature non può che appartenere a un qualunquista, a una persona che non vuole scegliere e quindi possibilmente cambiare.

THE THIRD WAY
Between going to the left or to the right, there is a third possibility: going straight. This not only concerns walking, but also a way of thinking, of making a choice or not making it.
Life always asks us follow a road, towards this or that direction.
Therefore, these three shoes – right, left and central, or ‘neutral’ – symbolize passiveness, inaction, and incapability to make a decision. And inaction is worse than a wrong action.
Hence, this ‘trio of shoes’ can only belong to an apathetic person, someone who doesn’t feel the need to make choices in life to – possibly – change.
